OK, so it’s October, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month and everything is pink. Everything. Pittsburgh has, for the last several years, dyed our landmark fountain pink. This year, the management at Gateway Center hopped on board.
The difference is that the fountain at the Point is this great frothy jet of water, white with air bubbles. The fountains at Gateway are slow-moving and calm. No froth – no white. So, what they’ve ended up with is, well, a pool of blood.

I so want to get a hold of a couple dozen prop body parts to dress this up for Halloween.

It looks more like a promo to raise awareness of cervical cancer or maybe uterine cancer, or peri-menopause.
The MAIN reason why I pray to never get breast cancer is because I don’t want well-meaning idiots foisting pink shit off on me 1,000 times a day! Seriously.
